ABPS Awarpur takes immense pride in the outstanding sportsmanship, dedication and perseverance shown by its students across Taluka, District, State, National, and ABG-level competitions during the academic year 2024-25. With participation in over 10 different sporting disciplines and more than 200 students taking part in competitive events, our school continues to uphold a strong tradition of holistic development through sports.
Sports events at District, State, and National levels
During the academic year 2025–2026, students achieved remarkable success in various sports events at district, state, and national levels. In Kabaddi, the U-17 boys team participated in Kadiyali on 28th July 2025. Volleyball saw both U-17 boys and girls securing runner-up positions at the same venue and date. Athletics events held in Kadiyali witnessed several selections for district-level competitions, including Dhananjay Makwana (100m, 200m), Jenilgiri Gauswami (5000m walking race, 400m hurdles), Maizal Pathan (pole vault), and Nazim Juvariya (hammer throw) for boys, and Honey Gadhiya (3000m walking race) for girls.
Notable Achievements
At the district level, notable achievements included Ayush Sharma (U-14 boys, badminton – 1st position, selected for state), Vishwam Pandya (U-17 boys, badminton – 3rd position, selected for state), and weightlifters Krish Baraiya and Nazim Juvariya securing first positions in their respective categories. State-level participation included Ayush Sharma (U-14 boys, badminton – 7th position, selected for pre-national camp), Vishwam Pandya (U-17 boys, badminton), and weightlifters Krish Baraiya (56 kg – 5th position) and Nazim Juvariya (79 kg – 4th position). Students also actively participated in Khel Mahakumbh events, including volleyball, tug of war, chess, kho-kho, badminton, skating, and football. Notably, Devarth Dad excelled in the ABG Chess Tournament, securing 2nd position at the zonal level and representing at the national level. Inter-house sports activities were conducted throughout the year, including Yoga Day, Investiture Ceremony, Throwball, Volleyball, Carom, Chess, Tug of War, Kabaddi, and culminating with the annual Sports Day celebration in December 2025.
