On July 1st, ABPS Khor celebrated Doctor's Day by visiting Vikram Hospital. The Principal, Sr. Master, and our student representatives presented a heartfelt card to the hospital’s doctors, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to society. Earth Day

On 11th January 2025, ABPS Vikram Nagar, Khor, celebrated National Youth Day to honour Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary. The theme “Arise, Awake, and Realise the Power You Hold” guided the day’s events. Students reflected on his teachings through speeches and a session on his iconic Chicago address. Principal Mrs. Priyadarshini Chauhan inspired students to lead with purpose, discipline, and determination. The event successfully motivated students to embrace their inner strength and strive for excellence.

Celebrating Linguistic Pride: Hindi Diwas

Hindi Diwas was celebrated at ABPS, Khor with a focus on promoting the Hindi language and its rich heritage. Students created eye-catching posters, showcasing the importance of Hindi as a unifying language. The event encouraged students to embrace and preserve their cultural identity, while also appreciating the linguistic diversity of India.

Igniting Innovation: STEM Lab Inauguration

The STEM Lab was officially inaugurated on July 10 2024 by Mr. Avasa Mishra, providing a modern space for students to explore scientific ideas.

From July 5 to 9, a STEM workshop at ABPS, Khor introduced students to hands-on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Led by Mr. Mahimana Joshi, the sessions sparked creativity and innovation.

Safety Rally

On 17th January 2025, ABPS, Khor students conducted a vibrant Safety Rally in Vikram Cement Staff Colony to spread awareness about road safety. Flagged off by Principal Mrs. Priyadarshini Chauhan and CMO Mr. Mukul Bindra, the rally included slogans, placards, and community engagement. Students stressed the importance of traffic rules, helmets, and vigilance. The rally, which concluded at Cine Club, left a lasting impact on residents, promoting a strong message of “Drive Safe, Stay Safe.”

Flag assembly

On April 1, 2024, a special Flag Assembly welcomed students to the new session with joy. The school choir's melodious performance set a positive tone, followed by the principal proudly hoisting the school flag. The assembly included the Thought of the Day and News updates, keeping everyone informed. A cultural dance performance highlighted the event, featuring children in vibrant attire dancing gracefully to Saraswati Vandana.

Welcome Back to School

On June 18, 2024, as junior students arrived at school, they were warmly greeted by teachers and the principal at the nursery building. Each student received personal welcomes with smiles, cheers, and encouraging words. Thoughtful gestures such as personalized notes, engaging activities, and vibrant decorations fostered an environment where students felt valued and inspired to excel academically.

Orientation Programme

On April 8, 2024, ABPS, Khor conducted an Orientation program for parents to acquaint them with school rules and regulations. Ms. Pooja Sharma and Ms. Pooja Dagur explained policies and introduced the staff, while Ms. Preeti Jain, the Coordinator, addressed safety. Principal Ms. Priyadarshini Chauhan reassured parents about their children's welfare. Parents also learned about their educational roles and responsibilities. The program concluded positively, leaving parents satisfied and informed.

Summer Camp

Our school hosted an enriching Summer Camp from May 1st to May 11th, 2024, welcoming 110 students from grades 1 to 8. The camp featured a diverse array of activities including Yoga, sports like Cricket, Basketball, Football, and Chess, as well as cultural pursuits such as Taekwondo, Art of Speaking, and Kathak. Students also engaged in creative workshops like Storytelling, Calligraphy, and Cooking without Fire, along with stimulating sessions on Mental Ability, STEM Spark, Brain Gym, and Instrumental Music. The camp concluded with a memorable ceremony where students received participation certificates and eco-friendly jute bags from the Principal.

CBSE Expression Series 2024-25

On June 20th, ABPS, Khor conducted the CBSE Expression Series Competition for students from classes 3 to 12. The event featured poem composing, essay writing in English and Hindi, and a painting making competition on various topics. Students enthusiastically participated, showcasing their creativity and insights through their work. The competition provided a platform for young minds to express their experiences and ideas, fostering a spirit of self-expression and reflection.

Best Practices for Innovative Teaching in Classrooms

Badminton

Our school had a successful Badminton season, with students participating in the State Level Badminton Tournament in Indore from April 8 to April 13, 2024. Reet Mittal of class VB excelled in Under-11 and Under-13 singles, while Darshil Agrawal and Harshal Jaiswal of class IXB shone in Under-15 singles and doubles. Their impressive performances earned each of them a cash award of Rs 1000, bringing glory to the school and showcasing their hard work and dedication.

Swimming

Sushil Tayade of class XB excelled in the U-17 category at Neemuch District Swimming Competition, winning two gold and three silver medals. His outstanding performance brought laurels to the school. Sushil also represented our school at the state level competition in Gwalior, M.P.

Science Outreach Programme

IISER Bhopal's annual summer camp for school students, a platform for scientific exploration, welcomed three students from our school - Atharva Goyal, Satvik Goyal, and Kartavya Saini. Scientific Achievement

Devansh Tyagi, a ninth-grade student, achieved success in the secondary level Astronomy Quiz hosted by the Aryabhat Foundation. As a result, he embarked on a trip to the renowned Vainu Bappu Observatory in Kavalur. The tour, spanning from April 28 to May 4, 2024 provided an enriching educational experience for all participants. Students delved into various aspects of astronomy, gaining insights into optics, Aditya L-1 and Chandrayaan-3 missions, different engine mechanisms, space technology, artificial intelligence, and fundamental and intricate scientific concepts.
