A brief report on School Innovation Council :
Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell and AICTE has launched School Innovation Council
programme for schools across the country. The primary purpose of an SIC is to foster innovation and
creativity among students, teachers, and staff, with the goal of enhancing the quality of education
and addressing specific challenges within the school.
New Education Policy has laid huge emphasis on promoting out-of-the-box thinking
amongst students. To achieve this goal, school teachers are trained and they will
further nurture the young school students on:
Idea Generation & Idea hand-holding
IPR
Finance/ Sales/ HR
Design Thinking and Innovation
Entrepreneurship

The Program is designed in such a way that students learn to acquire both
knowledge of design and practice of skills required to develop an attitude towards
design. Students will learn the following modules in the process:
Empathize
Define
Ideate
Prototype
Test
