Beyond the Classroom – Club Activities

Every child possesses talents — some are identified, and some go unidentified. Those talents that are identified are nurtured, honed and appreciated. But those that are unidentified die an unseen death. The basic objective of introducing school clubs is to identify and hone these unidentified talents of the young students who might not be aware of their own talents due to lack of exposure and appreciation. The integration of work and study is made the key element in our school. The school club activities are to be seen as a very strong agent of life skills that would supplement academic and give the students a practical training which they require in day-to-day life, thereby shaping better holistic personalities.

Our Activities

Art Education

Art Education constitutes curricular activities for the development of aesthetic sensibilities and respect for social values and cultural heritage in the young students for the wholesome development of their personality. It encourages learners to develop creative expression, sharpens keen observation and develops a sense of organization and order. Art Education entails instruction in various art forms (visual as well as performing) with an aim to help children develop an interest in arts and encourage them to enthusiastically participate in related activities, thus, promoting abilities such as imagination, creativity, valuing arts and cultural heritage.

The school offers Art Education in both the domains – Visual Art and Performing Art. Every student till Class X gets the privilege of being exposed to and internalizing these forms. 4 periods are set aside in the Class Time-Table 1 each for Art & Craft, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music & Dance.
