Special Days/ Days Of Significance
Participating in these days also fosters inclusivity by honoring diverse traditions, communities, and experiences. They cultivate a sense of belonging and shared responsibility for the world we live in. Whether it's Earth Day, International Yoga Day, or National Science Day, such celebrations help students build awareness and compassion. Ultimately, these observances strengthen the moral and civic fabric of the school community, nurturing active and engaged global citizens.
Honouring National Pride
Independence Day at ABPS Nagda was celebrated with vibrant energy and patriotic fervor. The event began with a ceremonial flag hoisting followed by the National Anthem sung in unison, reflecting a deep respect for the nation. Students from various classes participated in a well-coordinated program that included patriotic songs, speeches, and musical performances. Dressed in house uniforms and tricolour-themed attire, students conveyed their love for the country through inspiring presentations. The school campus echoed with slogans and songs celebrating India's freedom. Teachers, staff, and students came together to honour the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The colourful backdrop, enthusiastic participation, and perfectly synchronized performances turned the event into a memorable celebration. These activities not only brought students closer to their heritage but also promoted values like discipline, courage, and unity.
Honouring Icons of Peace
On October 2, 2024, ABPS Nagda celebrated Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti with heartfelt reverence. The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony led by the school Principal and staff members, symbolizing enlightenment and peace. A soulful musical tribute by students set the tone of simplicity and patriotism. Thought-provoking speeches highlighted the values of truth, non-violence, and humility that both leaders stood for. Beautifully crafted backdrops, featuring portraits and slogans, reflected the school's creative spirit. Floral tributes were offered to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, reinforcing the timeless values they preached. The program not only paid homage to two of India’s greatest sons but also inspired students to imbibe their ideals in daily life. The event concluded with a pledge to follow the path of truth and simplicity.
A Heartfelt Farewell to Memories and New Beginnings
The farewell celebration for the 2024–25 batch at ABPS Nagda radiated color, joy, and heartfelt moments. The school campus was transformed with creative décor—a vibrant floral arch symbolized new beginnings, while a handmade photo display board titled “Memories 2024–25” showcased cherished student moments. A red carpet welcome and delicately arranged floral tiaras and rose petals greeted the outgoing students. As the evening unfolded, students were honored and celebrated amidst cheers and warm wishes. Teachers and peers shared anecdotes, creating an emotional yet uplifting atmosphere. The word “Congrats” boldly displayed marked both an end and a beginning. The event reflected a perfect harmony of creativity and affection, giving students a dignified farewell and a heartwarming closure to their school journey.
Investiture Ceremony Celebration
The Investiture Ceremony was held with great enthusiasm and decorum, marking the official appointment of the new Student Council. The event commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the Principal and dignitaries, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness through knowledge and leadership. Following this, the council members marched in with confidence, adorned in sashes bearing their designations—Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captain, House Captains, and School Prefects. Each student took an oath to uphold the school’s values with integrity and commitment. The Principal addressed the gathering, encouraging the council to lead by example and work collaboratively. The event concluded with applause and pride as the torch of leadership was passed on, instilling hope for a vibrant and responsible student body in the coming year.
Honouring Our Guiding Lights
The morning began with a soulful tribute to Goddess Saraswati and Dr. Radhakrishnan, symbolizing the light of wisdom and learning. Teachers were warmly welcomed with flower petals and smiling faces—an emotional moment that reflected deep student-teacher bonding. Balloons carrying the message “Happy Teachers’ Day” were released into the sky, symbolizing love, gratitude, and aspirations shaped by our educators.
A vibrant cultural program followed, filled with performances, poems, and heartfelt words by students. Each gesture—big or small—carried the message of how teachers touch lives, silently and selflessly. The celebration beautifully reinforced the ethical values of respect, humility, and thankfulness. It was a reminder that while knowledge teaches us how to succeed, it is values—instilled by our teachers—that teach us how to live with purpose.
‘Timeless Treasures Day’ a day for Grandparents
By inviting grandparents into the school environment, we create a meaningful bridge between the past and present, fostering a deeper connection between students and their roots. This interaction strengthens family bonds and promotes a culture of respect, empathy, and appreciation among students. It reinforces the idea that learning doesn't only happen in classrooms but also through stories, traditions, and shared moments with elders.
Through performances, shared activities, and meaningful conversations, students gain a stronger sense of identity, belonging, and values such as kindness, patience, and gratitude — lessons that last a lifetime.
Ganrajya – The Reign of Ganesha
At our school ABPS, Ganesh Chaturthi is more than a traditional festival—it's a vibrant cultural fiesta celebrated by the students of Class IV fostering unity, creativity, and values-based learning. Each year, students and teachers come together to celebrate the arrival of Lord Ganesha, the deity of wisdom, prosperity, and new beginnings, through a blend of rituals, performances, and meaningful activities.
The celebration is designed not only to honor cultural heritage but also to instill essential values in students such as devotion, humility, environmental awareness, teamwork, and respect for traditions. From eco-friendly idol-making workshops to devotional music, skits, and community prayers, every element of the event emphasizes responsible celebration and inclusive participation.
Moreover, this celebration serves as a powerful tool for community bonding—bringing together diverse individuals in shared joy and reverence. By involving students in the planning and execution of the event, the school nurtures leadership, collaboration, and cultural literacy.
In essence, our Ganesh Chaturthi Cultural Fiesta bridges the gap between tradition and modern values, helping students grow into socially responsible, culturally rooted, and emotionally connected individuals.
