Special Days/ Days Of Significance

BBEMHS, Karwar celebrates a variety of special days throughout the year, including Internation Days, National Holidays, festivals, and other significant events viz. Alumni Meet, Gandhi Jayanti, Annual Sports Day, Investiture Ceremony National Youth Day, International Yoga Day, Basant Panchami. These celebrations often involve student participation through performances, crafts, and other activities, promoting cultural awareness, appreciation for different traditions, and community engagement. These celebrations are not just festive occasions but also serve as valuable learning experiences, fostering cultural awareness, promoting social responsibility, and encouraging participation and teamwork among students. 

Investiture Ceremony

On  July 8, 2026 the School Student Council was formed. The oath was administered; the sash and the badge were endorsed. Congratulating the sworn in members, the students were advised to be passionate about whatever they do, be creative and make a vision board for themselves, look at it every day and aspire for it.

Yoga Day Celebration

On 21st June, Yoga Day was celebrated. A yoga session was held in the Assembly Area led by PT Teachers and yoga expert Ms. Purva Kuvalekar. Students from classes I to X and the teachers performed yoga reminding the importance of Yoga in daily life.

World Environment Day celebration

5th June being World Environment Day, students of classes 9 and 10 decorated wall Magazine with the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution”. Making a difference in an effort to promote a clean and sustainable environment, a tree plantation drive was organized in the school. Students from the Foundational Group tied rakhis to trees, with a promise to take care of them.

Eid celebration

Eid celebration began with a brief introduction by highlighting the cultural and social importance. It was followed by a prayer. Students presented a short skit which gave a social message of helping the needy.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

 A special assembly was organized for the students of Nursery and Prep on Raksha Bandhan. The assembly commenced with a talk on the origin of Raksha Bandhan. Girls tied sacred thread on the wrists of boys.

Janmashtami Celebration

Students of LKG to class-X celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna. Students enjoyed the Janmashtami costume parade, songs and makhan-handi.

Independence Day Celebration

We celebrated Independence Day with a flag hoisting ceremony followed by a cultural presentation. Students were addressed, reminding them of their duties as proud and responsible Indians.

Teacher’s day

On 5th Sept, students of classes VI to X put up a spectacular show to honor all the teachers. The event commenced with a floral tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Students sang songs, presented dances to entertain the teachers. Mr. Kush Sharma, the Unit Head, Grasim Industries Limited, Karwar graced the occasion and honoured all teaching and nonteaching staff with gifts.

Alumni Meet

We have an Alumni Association, which represents a bonding between members and the school, its administration, teachers and students. Through Meet, we have tried to establish a fabric of networking among all pass outs of school.

Gandhi Jayanti

A special assembly was conducted for the celebration of Gandhi Jayanti. It started with the sacred chanting of shlokas and prayers. The assembly concluded with a speech by the Principal on the morals and values given by Mahatma Gandhi.

Diwali celebration

A special assembly was organized to celebrate Diwali. The festivities began with special bhajans, presented by the school choir. Students presented Ramleela to highlight the importance and relevance of the festival of Diwali.

Republic Day

Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the school premises, honoring the constitution of India. The students and teachers witnessed the wonderful sight of the high and fluttering Indian Tricolour flag hoisted by our honorable chairman Mr. Kush Sharma, Unit Head, Grasim Industries, Karwar who expressed his delight at the end of the program.
