The Investiture Ceremony of Sarla Higher Secondary School, Sarlanagar, was held on 13th August 2025 with great enthusiasm and dignity. The solemn occasion marked the formal installation of the newly elected Student Council members for the academic session 2025-26.
This year’s ceremony was truly special, as for the first time, an e-voting system was introduced in the school. Students from Classes VI to XII actively participated in the digital voting process, learning how to cast their votes responsibly and select their deserving council representatives. This initiative provided a hands-on experience of the democratic process, fostering awareness about leadership and responsible citizenship.
The elected council members took the oath to uphold the values and traditions of the school and to perform their duties with sincerity and dedication. The event was a proud moment for the entire school community, inspiring every student to take on leadership with integrity and commitment.
The Independence Day was celebrated with great pride and patriotic fervour at Sarla Higher Secondary School, Sarlanagar, on 15th August 2025. The entire school campus was beautifully decorated with tricolour flags, balloons, and banners, creating an atmosphere filled with national pride and unity. The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, followed by the National Anthem, sung in unison by students and staff. The programme included patriotic songs, dances, skits, and speeches highlighting India’s journey to freedom and the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters.
Students enthusiastically participated in various performances that reflected the spirit of independence, courage, and unity in diversity. The Principal addressed the gathering, urging students to be responsible citizens and contribute positively to the nation’s progress.
Students of Sarla Higher Secondary School, Sarlanagar participated in a refreshing Nature Walk as part of the school’s environmental awareness activities conducted by Environment Cell of Maihar Cement Works on 2nd June ,2025. The walk aimed to help students connect with nature and understand the importance of preserving it. The Nature Walk not only provided hands-on learning but also encouraged students to appreciate the beauty of nature and develop a sense of responsibility towards its conservation. It was a joyful and educational experience that deepened their respect for the natural world.
The Teacher’s Day Celebration was held on 5th September 2025 at the Sarlanagar Nagar Auditorium with great enthusiasm and joy. The event was organized by the students of Sarla Higher Secondary School, Sarlanagar, to express their heartfelt gratitude towards their teachers for their constant guidance and dedication.
The celebration became even more special with the gracious presence of the higher officials of Maihar Cement Works, who joined the occasion to honor the teaching fraternity. The programme began with a warm welcome and a tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday is celebrated as Teacher’s Day across the nation.
The auditorium was filled with laughter and cheer as students showcased their talents through vibrant dance performances and melodious songs making it a fun-filled day of joy, respect, and celebration. The teachers were deeply moved by the love and appreciation shown by their students.
The event concluded with words of wisdom from the dignitaries, inspiring both teachers and students to continue their journey of learning and growth with passion and dedication.
The International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 21st June 2025 at the assembly ground of Sarla Higher Secondary School, Sarlanagar. The event aimed to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being among students and staff through the ancient practice of yoga.
A special assembly was organised in which a brief introduction highlighting the significance of Yoga Day and the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for a healthy body and peaceful mind was given. Under the guidance of trained instructors and teachers, students performed various yoga asanas and breathing exercises, showcasing discipline, balance, and focus.
A session on Chemical Safety was conducted at *Sarla Higher Secondary School* on 21st July 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:20 AM. The objective of the session was to educate students about essential safety measures and best practices to be followed in the science laboratory.
A total of 49 students participated in the session, including 26 students from Class XII (Science) and 23 students from Class XI (Science). During the session, students were briefed on proper handling and storage of chemicals, the importance of wearing protective gear, first-aid measures for chemical exposure, and emergency procedures to follow in case of accidents.
The session proved to be informative and interactive, aiming to instill a strong sense of responsibility and awareness among the students regarding laboratory safety.
A STEM Prototyping Display was organized on 4th July 2025 at the MCW Auditorium by Sarla Higher Secondary School, Sarlanagar. The event showcased the creativity and innovative spirit of students from Classes VI to IX, who presented their self-designed projects developed during a hands-on STEM training session.
The training sessions were held on 2nd and 3rd July 2025 under the expert guidance of Mr. Mahimna Joshi, trainer from Erehwon Innovation Consultancy, Bangalore. During these sessions, students learned the fundamentals of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through practical problem-solving and design thinking approaches.
The display featured a variety of innovative prototypes that reflected the students’ imagination, teamwork, and application of scientific concepts.
