Independence Day Celebration

The 78th Independence Day of India was celebrated with immense patriotic zeal and great enthusiasm by the students and staff of Sardar Patel Vidyalaya on 15 August 2024. The celebration commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony where the unfurling of the National Flag was followed by the National Anthem .The Unit Head of UTCL , Sewagram, Shri Naveen Kukrati addressed the gathering by reiterating the way our brave freedom fighters sacrificed their lives, happiness and families – just so we could enjoy the taste of liberty. The NCC Cadets of SPV showered their discipline and focus through fabulous march past.

The cultural program started with a splendid and soulful rendition by a group of students and  deliver the speeches by students, acknowledging the sacrifices made by our soldiers. The atmosphere got charged up when the students performed by building different pyramids formation and a beautiful dance to pay a tribute to our nation's army and police forces. It gave all a relentless reminder about the bravery of the courageous soldiers. The students, dressed in the vibrant colours of the nation – green, white and saffron – performed a medley of heart touching patriotic songs complemented by the harmonious tunes of the keyboard. Through their serenade, they declared to be willing to sacrifice everything for their nation and rejoiced in the unity that continued to exist despite their diversity. Indeed, it was a day of elation, a day of love and respect for the country. 

The chief guests encouraged the students’ performance and instilled gusto among them and gave away the prizes to the participants as a token of appreciation. The students went home with a sense of pride for their nation that’s full of diversity, equality and inclusivity.

Rakhi Celebration

Raksha Bandhan symbolises the true love and bond between brothers and sisters. Rakhi has deep significance and it has been used for the protection of the person who ties it on his hand from mythological times. This year Rakhi making activity  was conducted on 26th August, 2024 .

The students of classes III to XII enthusiastically participated in the activity and showcased their talent and innovative creative skills. The best handmade rakhis were chosen from each standard and were taken to BSF,BOP Jawans at Karmta by 12 NNC girls Cadet  as social outreach activity. The feeling of patriotism was felt among the students as they expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for giving them the opportunity to establish a bond of trust and affection on Raksha Bandhan. This gesture made the jawans proud that they are serving for the nation, India.

Janmashtami Celebration

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya on 24th September 2024 respectively, with mirth and joy. The festival of Janmashtami is a great time to let students learn about Indian mythology and Lord Krishna. Students presented a skit in the Morning Assembly which depicted the birth of Lord Krishna and highlighted the power of divine love and righteousness to conquer evil and establishing dharma. The students of Pre-Primary and classes 1 and 2 came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna. Students of classes 3 to 5 were encouraged and engaged with exciting activities of their choice to learn about the festival and culture .

Gandhi Jayanti And Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti

On 2nd October 2024, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Sewagram, celebrated the birth anniversaries of two great leaders – Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri to bring awareness of their values and principles among the children. The celebration began with paying tribute by offering flowers and followed by singing Gandiji’s favourite bhajans (Vaishnav jan to) and song (Hey Ram..).

We finally concluded the celebration with speech from Mr. J.Jhala Sir ,the HOD of English Dept. Last but not the least the reviews of Respected Principal Sir Mr. Anshuman Saxena who addressed the students to follow the values of Gandhiji and Shastri ji in their lives and to always choose the path of truthfulness, honesty, and cleanliness.
